All Employers and Landlords/Letting agents are responsible by law for preventing any harm coming to their employees, customers and tenants when using equipment provided for their use, this includes electrical items on exhibition equipment. Babcock, as standard practice, PAT test all electrical items during exhibition set up.

If your working environment or property has any appliances with a mains voltage plug attached, for example: Computers, Monitors, Printers, Kettles, Microwaves, Fridges, Vacuum Cleaners, Cash Tills etc then you will have a duty to comply with all the necessary regulations. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is the best way you can fulfil this obligation.
